Chipping Sparrow by Ann Hoffpauir

© Ann Hoffpauir
I had to look up this little bird to know what kind it was. When I first noticed it, I thought it was just another house sparrow. As I worked in my yard though, it didn't fly away as readily as house sparrows do. I thought
"what the heck is wrong with this bird, is it sick, old or something"? The more I observed this bird I realized not only it wasn't a house sparrow, because it's character was somewhat timid, sweet and social. Later I had refilled a bird feeder and left it on my back porch for a few days. Well, the birds found it and they were probably thinking "the dang bird lady is never gonna hang the feeder up, so lets eat here ya"ll"! So...unnoticed to the birds, I took their picture from inside the window that was only about six feet from that feeder.
I had several different species of birds visit that feeder while it was on the porch. A lot of good close up photos too!
This painting is size 7x5 oil on canvas panel. It is available for $75.00. Thank you for viewing.

The Yellow Rose by Ann Hoffpauir

The Yellow Rose. How many times have we heard those three words used for so many things? The Yellow Rose of Texas, the Yellow Rose saloon, the Yellow Rose dance hall and bar bee q places. The list goes on. Somehow the yellow rose just seems to fit the great state of Texas. The song is rather catchy too.
Well, I was just ramblin' on.....ah, another song, Ramblin' Rose. Goodness, now this will be stuck in my head all day.
Apart from the yellow rose's name used for many things, the flower itself exudes grace, charm and beauty.
This painting is size 6x6 oil on canvas panel. Price, $75.00.
Thank you for viewing.

Barbara's Gift

http://www.ArtworkbyAnn.comThis is a miniature pitcher and bowl set from a dear friend. It's of an off white color and I tried to depict that. I have painted several white objects. It's a great color to try and capture because of all of the other colors white absorbs. This still life oil is painted on gessoed paper board and a size 5x7. The price is $75.00.

Ann Hoffpauir

This little painting is done from my creamer collection. It was fun for me to do this painting from things that are sentimental. I will be working on some small creamers. This one is a 7"x5".
