Sunflower Charm

© AnnHoffpauir

Sunflowers, third time is a charm.  Third day of the demonstration for the watercolor class.  Everyone in the class so enjoyed painting the sunflowers.  The use of the gauze and other materials some used for theirs made for some happy results.  Like I said before, sunflowers can make you happy.

Sunflower Burst

© AnnHoffpauir

Another sunflower demonstration for the class the next day.  I used the medical gauze again in this watercolor for the center of the flower.  I am really starting to like that stuff.  Sunflowers are wonderful subjects for keeping me in a looser style.

Sunflower Splash

© AnnHoffpauir

I painted these sunflowers as a class demonstration using medical gauze to create a textured imprint for the centers in this watercolor.  Sunflowers are a wonderful sunny flower to use in paintings.  I don't know about you, but they can brighten my day.  My style is much looser in this painting which I really enjoyed.

The Yellow Rose by Ann Hoffpauir

The Yellow Rose. How many times have we heard those three words used for so many things? The Yellow Rose of Texas, the Yellow Rose saloon, the Yellow Rose dance hall and bar bee q places. The list goes on. Somehow the yellow rose just seems to fit the great state of Texas. The song is rather catchy too.
Well, I was just ramblin' on.....ah, another song, Ramblin' Rose. Goodness, now this will be stuck in my head all day.
Apart from the yellow rose's name used for many things, the flower itself exudes grace, charm and beauty.
This painting is size 6x6 oil on canvas panel. Price, $75.00.
Thank you for viewing.
