I think this is such a stately looking bird, the great egret. They always look so pristine, must be from all that preening. The male and female each take care of the nest and when the eggs hatch, they both that care of the food too. The egret and the cypress tree is taken from a photo I took in a nature garden here in south Texas. The gardens are named Shangri La. It is well known so, if you get a chance to visit there and want to take photos of Egrets, Ibis, Great blue Heron, Cormorants, Swallow tailed Kites and several other species of birds, check out their website.
